Last Game of the Season

On Sunday, April 13th the Vancouver Canucks faced the Calgary Flames in the last game of the season. The Canucks won 5-1, with goals from Corrado, Booth, Kesler, Weber, and two goals from Daniel Sedin. Daniel Sedin left the game on a stretcher late in the second period after Paul Byron of the Calgary Flames hit him from behind. The Canucks were officially out of the playoffs after losing 3-0 against the Dallas Stars on April 8th. This is the first time in 6 years the Canucks will miss the playoffs. The Canucks are now 25th out of 30 teams in the NHL. The Canucks have also recently fired Mike Gillis, who was GM and President of the Canucks, and hired Trevor Linden as their new president.

Canucks Snap 3 Game Losing Streak

The Canucks only have 4 games left if they want to make it into the playoffs this year, and they've started on the right foot. They snapped their 3-game losing streak on Saturday against the L.A. Kings, winning 2-1, with goals from Alexander Edler and Brad Richardson. Currently, the Canucks are in 11th place in the western conference, only 6 points behind the Dallas Stars, who are in 8th place with 87 points. These last few games in the league will be exciting, with everyone trying to secure their spot in the playoffs.
